THORNDALE STRIP IS BAD, BAD, BAD

When you get a chance, and if you are feeling safe, talk a stroll down Thorndale between Broadway and Winthrop. You will see empty storefronts and a less than stellar mix of businesses. The old Deli has been gone for over one year, and the space is still not rented. It could be considered unrentable by a legitimate business: who in their right mind would risk capital by siting a business in this location, given the absolute mess surrounding it?

Where is the Edgewater Development Corporation, The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce and of course the Edgewater Community Council? Don't they have time to pressure landlords, business to improve this decrepit business strip? What the hell do these people work on other than their own parochial real estate development deals?

You, the people deserve every bit of this.
